As a technology provider to many companies in Texas we are closely monitoring the effects of COVID-19. Besides the people affected by the illness, we will all be dealing with changes in our work, school, and community. The entire Makios team is here to support our clients, and we will do our part for our country and our communities during this difficult time. Below you will find any updates with dates and times as they happen and as they are relevant to our clients.
March 24, 12:11 PM MST The recent news update from the Mayor Dee Margo should not affect our ability to perform service as usual. Our entire team in both El Paso and Grapevine is able to provide necessary services remotely.
March 13, 6:44 PM MST We have sent out a memo to all clients about the implications of working remotely and what process to follow in case you wish you and your team to work from home. Our team has been briefed on the protocols we're using to get things setup. We ask clients to please get with your primary contact for further information.
March 12, 11:01 AM MST Makios Technology is closely monitoring the news feeds about the COVID-19 virus. At this point we are in the process of crafting communications to inform our clients about concerns that are coming in as it relates to business continuity and the ability for your team and staff to operate away from the office. We are aware of the criticality of the things to come and have been working tirelessly since Wednesday's W.H.O. announcement on a contingency plan.
March 11, 6:25 PM MST After reviewing the news, Makios will be moving all of its team members to work in remote locations effective immediately and until further notice. Management feels it is important to be prepared for what is inevitably to come over the next few weeks and to be ready for any significant influx. We are closing our office for outside traffic and will only be accepting equipment but will not allow people at this point.
March 11. 2:01 PM MST The WHO announced that COVID-19 is now considered a pandemic. We do not know what will happen, but Makios Technology will be monitoring news and media closely to determine what needs to be done. We will update here as needed.
