Makios Cloud Email Archive Instructions
All emails older than 1 year will be archived and removed from the live emails in Outlook/Exchange.
The archived emails can be accessed via Outlook through a newly installed Add-in that can be found in the Outlook menu tabs, labeled as “E-MAIL ARCHIVE”:
To access the archive, select the “E-MAIL ARCHIVE” tab shown in Outlook:
If this is the first time that the archive is being accessed, you will be asked to enter your account credentials with the following sign-in prompt:
Please enter your domain username (e.g. “firstname.lastname” or “jdoe”) and the password that you use to logon to the computer. You can additionally check the box “Remember Password” to avoid being prompted for credentials every time that the archive is accessed. If the password in Windows has changed, you will be asked to update your password in this same screen (example below):
Once Authenticated, you will be able to browse your archive. The folders that have been archived will be listed in a tree view. From here you can browse through your folders to view your archived messages:
You can also search for specific keywords by using the following search option:
For more specific searches, you can select the option “Advanced Search” and enter specific search criteria to find messages faster:
If you also need to retrieve the messages from the archive, you have the option to open the message directly from Outlook and save the message as a file or select the option to restore the message to send it back to the live mailbox:
